The Food

I consider myself a home-cook. A really avid adventurous home cook. Hey, that sounds sort of cute:

“Amy, the avid adventurous home cook.”

The cornerstone of my cooking is the belief that simple techniques can be combined with fresh ingredients and an international seasoning palette to create really interesting, healthy and delicious food at home.

As a result, while my inspirations are international and ethnic, my food is rarely “authentic.” When I can, I will be sure to let you know how my techniques differ from the native preparations.

If you ever do try any of my recipes, I would really appreciate it if you would stop back and let me know what you thought. (Even if you hated them!)

Happy cooking, and happy eating!

I can’t wait to try the bread. I will have to do the math to figure out when, so it will be done on time. When or where are your food pictures?
    Love you always!

    Hi Amy,

I love your site and really enjoy your writing style! I used your Mexican chocolate truffles recipe as part of a cinco de mayo bundle of goodies last year for 20 people and they were wonderful!! Just thought I’d let you know, thanks!
